The article referred to the "open source movement" which includes the OS, database and all other open source software for that matter. Do you really think that open source is mainstream today. If so, you need to pickup a dictionary and try to understand the meaning of the word "mainstream."

And just to answer your specific attack, the DB is not mainstream either. It is a very small player in a very large market.

Now, go play with your dictionary.
