So in other words, you're going to have to do a rewrite regardless [1]. Your only choices are when and to what.

The thing you've got to ask yourself [2] is, "how soon will the platform shift again?" At some to-be-determined point on the churn spectrum, you're better off going to an environment that's under your control rather than a (potential) competitor's.

[1] The proverbial metaphor is rape. That's overstating the case and trivializing rape.
[2] Besides "Do I feel lucky?"
