You're reading a lot into my post: Who says I don't care what happens to anyone else? I have posted many times to these forums and I have consistently argued that competition is good for the market. I would like to see Linux, Apple, and anyone else for that matter, become more successful in the marketplace in order to push MS in the right direction, and to drive innovation in ALL of the companies.

Ethics are important in business, and I work for a company which has built itself on its reputation for ethics... (no, I don't work for MS). But the issue in this article is that one business has made an introduction to assist another business in seeking financing. There is nothing illegal or unethical about that.

Is MS doing this to further along the SCO cause? Of course they are. So what? Do you feel they have some social obligation to further the cause of their competitors? Which business school did you go to?

I personally hope that SCO fails miserably in their lawsuit, but that doesn't make MS's actions in this particular situation illegal or unethical. The only thing that would make it so is PROOF that they are conspiring with SCO in filing a frivilous lawsuit in order to crush their common competitor. Such collusion between companies is clearly ILLEGAL, let alone unethical. So far, however, there is no such proof, only appearances and inferences.
