Why, why why beta test for them
To the public: are you such a geek that you have nothing better to do than test operating systems for Microsoft. They should be hiring people(you) and paying them to do the same.

So you beta test it, and then to add injury to insult when they roll out the full version, you think they will let you continue to use your beta copy and supply updates for you? No, they will make you pay for yet another meaningless upgrade.

Oooh, glassy interface. Is that glassy interface worth $150? I would bet that it offers nothing additional that can't be duplicated with dos scripting, a simple vb app, or any number of existing third party tools.
