Yahoo forgot it's roots...
Yahoo made a name of itself by developing and maintaining a "hand-made" directory of websites.
This made an easy, reliable search for websites available. That is what made Yahoo a big player. Now that category system is buried in Yahoo's search in favor of sponsored results and their spiderbot searches. The high price to even register a website in the directory ($300 is a lot for a small business), precludes a lot of business sites. Yahoo should get back to what it did best, then maybe more people would return; not for a spidered searches, but for the directory.
