The worst possible thing that could ever happen for Google users.
Google will be finished at that point. No longer would Google be operating to satisfy it's users. From that point, it would be operating to satisfy it's shareholders, and users ALWAYS come second to shareholders and bean-counters.
It will be a sad day indeed
