Reader bogs down modern computers...
Really, Adobe Reader is appallingly slow, both the standalone application as well as the browser plugin. The Foxit Reader is MUCH faster, and much smaller, and best of all, doesn't come with the Adobe Download Manager which tries to give you the Yahoo $#@%ing Toolbar.

Foxit runs faster on my 850 MHz PIII laptop with 256 MB RAM than Adobe Reader does on my 3.0 GHz desktop with 2 GB of RAM. Le sigh.
