that's why I don't see nuclear energy as a viable replacement of fossil fuels and OPEC while we have people very willing to use it as a target. But again, science doesn't seem to be pushing the boundaries of conventional rechargeable batteries, and industry is really pushing the envelope on renewable and natural sources of energy. Look at the kinetic and heat energy wasted during the use of motors in cars, or our own body movement, actions that could not necessarily supplant the batteries used by augment their supply. A little of the grid is better than totally dependant on the grid.
