What is MS doing?
OS X implements essentially the same graphics engine as Aero and yet can do it on a much less beefy video chip, and so can give good laptop performance with all the eye candy on (three to four hours).

The MS implementation can't be that inefficient. I have my beefs with MS, but their engineers aren't stupid.
