Who says you have to use them?
The good thing about Oracle--and most companies other than
Microsoft--is that you can use third-party tools with their
programs. They don't try to lock you in, so you're free to pick
and choose what works best for your particular needs. Microsoft
is making it an all-or-nothing proposition if you want to use
their stuff, and that's just totally unacceptable. Even if their
products did meet your immediate needs, you need the
flexibility to choose other options if conditions change, like if
they hike up the cost of their products or make you sign up for
three-year commitments where you pay up front and they don't
deliver.
