This is one of the hurdles facing linux
on the desktop. Along with games and a few other things but linux needs mainstream application support... dreamweaver, photoshop, half-life among others. get the developers and the rest will follow. yes, there's gimp and wine and crossover and amaya and yada, yada, yada but they just don't cut it for most users.

I've been using a number of different distros for a few years and have settled on debian. I will say, however, that ubuntu has done a bang up job with the deb distro and has been a shot in the arm for linux as a whole.
