Pros dont use Access
Pros use a Linux server running MySQL or PSQL, not Access, and definitely not any sort of Windows interface.

So while Microsoft might want developers to use only their tools for everything, they need to make their tools open as well so they work with all databases using their native schemas and not having to use a MSDB connection schema to do their work.
