There are a lot of compatibility problems with SQL Server. It only runs on
Windows. MySQL and PostgreSQL run on Windows AND all the rest. But, why anyone would want to run a great database like MySQL on top of an insecure bug ridden OS like Window is beyond me. But, hey, it is available.
