Linux Apps
I'm interested to know something and as you use Linux every day you might be able to answer. What applications, that don't involve moving text about various documents can it run?

For instance...

3DS Max 8
Maya 7
Photoshop CS2
Cubase SX
Visual Studio .NET 2005
Corel Painter
Macromedia Flash
Sony Vegas

any of the Java SDK's, JBuilder, NetBeans etc...

Can it run those and I don't just mean, can it load them, I mean can it run them efficiently? That is of course after installing them effortlessly?

This is a serious question, I use XP every day and all those applications work, every day. If all of them don't work then tell me, how is Linux a viable alternative to me? I see everyone saying Linux is Ace but I never see anything other than Open Office mentioned... does OO support VBA?
