Army should be thanking Microsoft...
For Microsoft to give away such a power house package of applications is a true sign of how much they respect the Army. The Army is making a very unwise decision to not use this fine software. I can see scenarios where some Sergeant in the Army uses a SharePoint Portal site and connects using Office 2003 and XML schemas developed in Infopath to send critical mess hall inventory information using his wireless notebook using C# and ADO.NET code connected to Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. The Army needs to wake up and realize that only by using the latest and greatest MS technologies will this country be able to continue to be a military force. My rep and I are going to hand out trial versions of Office 2003 this weekend to some Army reservists here to show our full support.
