PC Rating Tool or PC Box Vendor Control

Is it just me, or does anyone else here see the potential for MS to coerce vendors yet again? I am not stating that MS is indeed doing this, but the ramifications for the OS to rate vendors wares are startling. I can see a lot of Compuhut's steering the masses to the boxes with the highest ratings because "Vista say it's cooler to buy this one" and I can see the temptation of MS to use this feature to manipulate the PC vendors again.

Before the flames begin, I am NOT stating that this is so. It's just way too easy for this type of behavior to emerge.
