MSN Instant Messenger NOT part of Windows OS.
Lets clear up some confusion here. Seems you Linux users are VERY confused on the difference between Windows Messenger and MSN Instant Messenger.

First for you Linux uber geeks, Windows Messenger is tied to the Windows OS in most versions except Win 95 and earlier versions of 98. And this version is not vulnerable since it's most likely to be an earlier version of Windows Messenger 4.6 or 5.0.

This flaw only deals with MSN Instant Messenger 6.0 and 6.1 versions with and is stand alone IM software and must be downloaded and installed separately yet works in conjuction with MSN Internet software. Most Windows users would know this but I guess you Linux $hills had forgotten or need an excuse to bash MS Windows OS's for something your were to ignorant to figure out yourselves. Damn, I though you guys were smart?!
