OSS eats into things like MS Office, AND Corel and Lotus and whatever commercial Office product exists because a dollar amount of $0.00 is a very very tempting sales price. Yes, an OSS product can be software as sold, it's not necessarily Free just because it OSS, but pressures abound that if a product is released to the publik as OSS that it should be free as beer as well as speech, or somebody else will come along with an OSS that is.
