Depends what you need
Microsoft is by far easier to manage than Oracle so that a bonus. The only problem is MS SQL server is not so good on the enterprise level. It does work good for the low to mid range database. Like those MSDE database that have out grown thier 2 GB limit and 2005 Express will not give you much more breathing room at 4 GBs these days.

All I can say is I would not want to run a multiple terabyte data warehousing system on Microsoft SQL server. That's scary just thinking about it.
