This is a load of bull.
Open office and ODF work just fine. You can take my word or Microsoft's word or just download it and check it out for yourself. Don't be sheep when it cost nothing to try it out. I have no doubt the MS office is a great program. Don't let FUD be the reason you don't try Open Office. At least with Oo you have a zero investment and aren't committed to anything. Microsoft has a strong desire to continue dominating the market and therefore their word cannot be accepted at face value. Except by mindless sheep.
