Real made a deal to have RealPlayer used for broadcasts.
MLBAM are breaching the contract.

Real depend on the revenue gleaned from the MLBAM
broadcasts and similar deals. They also need the
broadcasts to help maintain their market presence. TV
companies pay to broadcast the same stuff to generate
advertising revenue.

By "giving away" media player by bundling it with Windows,
MS are stopping Real from making money selling their
player. By using their massive war chest to steal Reals
customers, MS are cutting off Real's only income stream.

What's not to understand?
