Ah, that makes sense
I've always been able to kill IE through taskmanager and kill the process with out killing the system but you lose your desktop till it restarts. This sounds like that would fix the problem.

Still I use Firefox 99.9% of the time so not really an issue for me. I don't see myself using IE till Vista is out for a year. That's about the time I'll buy a new PC and get Vista with IE that has tabbed browsing. Then I'll give a month see how it work and if I like I'll use it.
