PTO = Doormat
The PTO has been stepped on so many times by
activist judges that it has stopped caring.
They no longer take it personally when a patent
is overturned. When, who has better lawyers, is more important than, who is right, this happens.
My 2cents:
Software should have copyrights not patents.
Patents and copyrights should expire in a timely fashion.
Screw Disney and Amazon.
Patents should be for a functioning product,
not a theory.
If it is not in production, patent expires faster.
No Submarine patents.
