Linux will dominate in this sector.
Point-of-sale systems are simple and don't need
a lot a bells and wistels. What it does need is
stability, security, low cost operation. Linux
meets these needs better than Windows.

Windows-based system will hold for a year, but
after that, nearly all new point-of-sale systems
will be Linux-based.
