My current problem is acquiring the necessary hardware.

I'm a long-time fan of Debian Linux, and have yet to find a better delivery/installation tool than Knoppix.

Adding MythTV to the mix will just make the software side of the project that much easier for me once I've built the box.

Thanks, though, for bringing attention to the project to those here who weren't already in-the-know.
