In my opinion
if the shuttles can meet the green factor that the Macs do then possible. Next they need to not be running Microsoft Windows to be a viable solution. Reason, security and the fact that I do not appretiate Microsoft solutions. So for me it's one of the following:

1 - FreeBSD
2 - Linux
3 - Macintosh

Since Macintosh is based on FreeBSD and they have done all the work for me (not that I am getting or plan on doing so any type of media center) the Mac is the best solution. If I was more adept at Linux than I currently am then the shuttle systems would be a possiblity. But since I am not and they do not come close to the energy savings of the Mac systems they are not viable. But good suggestion and right idea!
