Not unless you hang with a bunch or warez guy and they well I'd just have question your judgment in freinds.

Most people buy thier software. At least that's from what I can see. When software sells in stores that means someone is buying it. I know I buy my software.

I think less piracy goes on today that it did in the 80s. Why? Because it's more of hassle these days and it can cost you. Back in the 80s you had user groups who pirated software on weekly basis and the clubs were advertised. Piracy back then was almost accepted as way to get your software known then you'd crack down with protections after people got to liking your software.
