Very Tired of this

Apple and Linux supporters should just keep quiet.. This saying that it's a copy of blah-blah.. and other nay-saying doesn't really help your cause. People have known about the alternatives for over 10 years now. Yet Microsoft still dominates the marketplace. As long as there are mission critical apps that will only run on a Win environment that will be the case. Why else would a business spend Thousands when they can spend hundreds.. When the app's start to suck and don't keep up with what the industry needs then the base platforms will change. People just don't buy MIcrosoft because they have not other choice. Why is bootcamp and WINE in such demand.. it's because of the need to run a specific application. Yes there are viable almost the same app's available in the other environments but it may not work the same or the data has the same interoperatively with other partners platforms. Office being one of the mission critical apps..

Personally I prefered OS/2 over anything that microsoft had made but I've had to go with the flow and give up the command line for most items and use a GUI even one that I'm not enamoured with but one that I have to use to work with my business partners. Maybe one day things will change and I will have to change. Until then alternate os'w will stay in virtual machines and run as needed.
