... it just makes some of our stomachs turn when Microsoft announces them like they're some big shiny new whiz-bang thing that the 'geniuses' at Microsoft came up with all on their own and it's the greatest thing since sliced bread since 'Microsoft invented it' and it's NOTHING like what's been available to OSX or linux users for YEARS now.

I think that's pretty much the beef some of us have. If it's truly an MS innovation, by all means, take your due credit. But don't brag about your half-baked ripoffs like they're the cat's @$$.
