This show misunderstandings
If you look at our portfolio companies, out of about 60 that could be doing something offshore, 60 percent are already doing it--mostly in India but also in China and Canada.

What's he's describing is not the off shoring for greed that we hear about but the off shoring for logical reasons. Notice how he mentioned Canada? Lots of jobs go North to Canada with out effecting US jobs. In breaking into the Canadian market they set up shop in Canadain Cities hiring people to do the work there. That's just common sense.

Now when you take a call center in the centeral US close it down selling out to Walmart and building a new center in India that's getting rid of jobs. They aren't expanding their market into india they are just getting Indian workers to do the work instead of US workers.

Still the call center is bad example as it's a minimum wage job now days. A friend of mine used to work in one an the wages steadily descreased to minimum wage since 1990. They ended up closing down because they couldn't get people working, now I believe they are in India.
