I think the more significant thing is that if the journelests are getting it correct you can now get Microsoft to guarentee support on the current Windows products for 5 or more years. This is why OS/2 remained strong in banking even though IBM was weening everyone to Java. The guarantee of support means that your shop need not go Vista or Linux for the forseeable planning horizon (generally 5 years). Its a positive for consumers who do not want to bleed on Vista. It is probably recognition that Vista is toast as well but only the beta testers know for certain and they likely will not divulge findings except under court release of non disclosure agreements. Come on KK do your duty. Do away with NDAs. Let the Truth be told.

Its a real shame that documents showing phone companies at fault for releasing records to the NSA are now under seal. This is not condusive to our growth industry of exposing wrong-doers. It only means a select group of legal firms will benefit from the eventual settlement. There is so much work to do. Microsoft is in the US because of its weak legal system. They would not have been to operate as a criminal organizaton if located anywhere else.
