I suggest research on how publishing really works
I happen to have a pro publisher at home who works for a few companies (also as consultant). Design and layout are different species and one person almost never does both things.

Easy integration? In terms of being able to incorporate picture or do some quick conversions - yes.. but that already exists and Photoshop works just fine with QuarkXpress.

As far as advanced graphics design features being integrated into layout processor: what for???
