No one familiar with Linux would confuse 'emerge'
with 'apt-get'. Maybe Roger is unthinkingly
scattershot flaming? FWIW, I am not a fan of
'emerge' or 'apt-get'. Synaptic with a gui front
end, on the other hand, rocks. I am kinda
curious as to why Sun is romancing an offshoot of
Debian in preference to Debian itself. It can be
very convincingly argued that Debian is the most
stable, best tested, most complete system
available anywhere.
