Intel Multicore Business PCs
I gave an IBM rep a hard time after a presentation on multi core by checking an assumption. The assumption was that Websphere tools on PCs were multi-core capable. The rep had to confess that this was not the case, that IBM itself needed to retool its PC development tools while it was in the process of teaching us to do the same with our applications. The retooling of mainframe tools is in-effect retooling for the up to 32 core business PCs we may see before Xmas. Yesterday 4 core Intel Processors were discussed on TV.
