While I agree . . .
. . . that MS needs to fix their software, this article was not a security or even spam control article, but a feature article to make communicating more convenient. The concepts apply to any OS, because it is a social issue, not a technical one.

While the title says "Microsoft wants to know who your friends are," the article doesn't mention that MS really needs or wants to know, they're just making software to try to make it easier to manage your core contacts and stay connected.
