Well that makes sense
You need the same on Windows. I've powered out my W2K box with 512MB Ram, 1.4GHz proc, and Nvidia graphic card with 128MB ram just rendering a 3D graphic. Slowed it to a crawl.

Anytime you deal with heavy graphics get a heavy machine to do it.
