No one is 100% accurate.
But they envisioned the PC market and built the ecosystem that allows you and I to talk about it. They changed computing from corporation run computing to everyone can now run computers. Not even Jobs can get that credit, for his machines were too expensive. Bill Gates was the Henry Ford of computers. Also they are a system builder second to none which allows their partners to build on the platform making their product very successful. This is what makes them successful.
