- See Vanity Fair Last Month
-
Do your own research. But start with the publication your wife and mother reads called Vanity Fair. Last months article ties Abramoff to Preston Gates and Ellis. Abramoff is on record as billing Microsoft for services while there -- as is Ralph Reed.
Why belittle the Seattle Times and Seattle Weekly? They are the news sources closest to Microsoft's corporate office and the sources most likely to get the dirt on the criminal organization before others. Google Abramoff and Seattle Weekly. They have tied the man pretty well to Microsoft. Oh heck I will spoon you:>)

The URL and article are called lobbyGate's Gates
A Preston Gates and Ellis client was killed by mobsters in Florida and Abramoff who had brokered a deal for the client involving casino boats was fingered as a person of interest. He eventually was convicted of wire fraud and was not brought up on charges for murder but his continued sqwealing causes problems for both the Gates Family and the Bush Family. If you see no connection then fine. Live in your world while the rest of us work for good. Abramoff in particular allerted the world to the fact that the Washington Post is Gates Family directed (Melinda Gates and Family friend Buffet are on the board). He did this and connected Preston Gates and Ellis by noting that a competing lobby firm (I read Preston) got material printed in the Washington Post that eventually gave him problems with his clients.
Oh heck I love you guy, you at least deserve more spoonfulls for the challenge sugar:>) Many are not so brave.
Reed, the Microsoft consultant and Abramoff both influenced the Bush Administration and were hired for this wrong doing by Microsoft and Microsoft's Legal and lobby firm - Preston Gates and Ellis. Reed immediately pissed of Bush becuase Read was already working for Bush on his presidential campagn. He thought the lobbying inappropriate. But eventually something was offered or threatened and Bush's newly formed DOJ, which was headed by Ashcroft, a man so crooked his own state elected a dead guy rather than him, and Charlse James, now of ChevronTexico, negotited the deal that totally got Microsoft out of its US antitust case. -- to the horror of all the IT folks who contributed documentation of the wrong doing -- many of those now unemployed - I imagine.
Do we with 20 or more years of IT work ahead of us not want to rid the industry of mobsters. Sure we do. Tell your friends.
