M$ can't stick with core competencies......because they have none. Windows is in a shambles. Every version is supposed to be the "most secure and stable release ever", and proves instead to be just as insecure, but with more bloat. Coming soon, it will also be Palladium-infected. More people are wising up to the fact that they don't need Office either - they can run OpenOffice even if they choose to stay on Windows. Why shell out $500 for Clippy?

So, yeah, Steve, I guess you'd better keep groping around for some new-fangled product. This is nothing more than an admission that your current profitable products are not of long-term value to customers...and will be nearing end of life expectancy soon.
