Is the Palm OS missing the multimedia boat?

I defected a long time ago...

I had no troubles with multimedia when I had my Palm (Tungsten T3)... indeed, it had the best screen of the bunch. But had problems with synchronizing, however, but that's lengthy, not-your-typical-end-user story... (of course, the T3 battery life was sucky compared to any given PocketPC with the same CPU and battery rating, it must either be the screen or poor design that makes the T3 thirsty for power...)

Plus, with Palm openly stated it was moving to WinCE, that alone would have angered their customer base. That's the writing on the wall that Palm stopped caring about its own crafted product.

Palm didn't miss the boat. They simply put a big hole in it - a long time ago too, and then thought it was fun to watch it sink. Pity they were still in it at the time... but, nobody's perfect.
