"Grey Tuesday," anyone?
As a result of the Grey Tuesday movement of last week, I found a great deal of non-RIAA music to download. Most of the hosts for the Grey Album also had links to some really great stuff. I downloaded some and I plan on buying at least a few of the CDs when they are offered for sale.

Dvorak has it right-people want to hear what they are planning to buy beforehand. Yesterday, the local radio station played an advance cut from the new Aerosmith CD. It sucked. But if I hadn't been able to hear it first, I might have been drawn into buying it because it's Aerosmith.

Like he said, P=W-R. You can't claim that sharing is costing the industry money based on what you hoped might have sold. That would be like that lady in Ohio claiming to have won the lottery because she really thought she should have won and intended to play those numbers. Great business strategy, that!
