Once it is up, you can use it without knowing all
of the ins and outs of under the hood. My
understanding is that the BSD documentation is
very good. Very possible that he could have
installed it with a little help from a friend and
just been using it for ordinary stuff. The idea
that you have to be a geek or an uber geek just
to use Linux/BSD is very outmoded. Blue haired
little old ladies are very comfortable running
Linux/BSD once it has been set up. Still, if he
has had it up for any time at all, he has to have
learned something, however little. Which means
that he knows more than just Windows. No real
reason to doubt that. Like I said, slicing and
dicing for his ridiculous anti Linux posts is
fair game as far as I am concerned. Questioning
anyone on which OS they say they run is just a
little silly and puts you at the same level they
are. Just my opinion, and I am well aware of
what they say about opinions.
