First, your sophmoric atempt at insult falls way short of the mark, please try to do better in the future.

Now let me say this real s l o w so you can follow along. The new native Office format is XML, it can be parsed easily, after parsing you can save it any format that trips your trigger. There simply IS NO LOCK IN. At least not to anyone capable of parsing XML. And to top it all off, ANYONE can use it by signing up for a license at ZERO cost.

And as an extra bonus, you can use Information Rights Management to control WHO can see the document, WHEN they can see it, and HOW long they can see it. Something every creator of documents seems to want, especially governments and the corporate world.

Ok, there you go, class dismissed...
