---We need these releases and we need them soon. XP is becoming more and more legacy by the second. Longhorn will finally give us what we need, where we need it and how we need it in a way where the needs are balanced with the wants and the hows of the whys. ---
To paraphrase M$ shills when slanderizing Linux:
Didn't we hear this about win95? win95OSR2? win98? win98SE? winME? win2k? winXP?
M$ couldn't get it right last century. Think they will during this century?
Not that it is of any real consequence. I do find it amusing that M$ is back on the kick of charging it's customers to test alpha software. Now, instead of M$ digging their own grave, M$ is passing out shovels. Good marketing strategy. I'm glad to see it. I'm glad to M$ has reverted back to their old tactics again.
A new dimension to vaporware? Or merely a new twist on gouging customers? Seems nobody is interested in M$. That is evidenced by their dropping revenues, and the fact only 4 companies have chosen to license their proprietary formats.
