Reality check for Mr Gates
I've got a son with a new CS Degree from a good school. We still owe over $70K on the degree and he has a part time job that is (barely) computer related. Many of his former classmates are in similar positions. I won't even mention all my former co-workers.The advice to get a job that can't be outsourced is spot on. IT has been good to me, but I am very lucky, still employed. That, of course, could change at any time. I am disheartened by what our government is doing to us. Just think, if I could afford to work for the same wages as some Indian, my job would still be outsourced because my employer wouldn't have to pay Social Security, or deal with EEO and OHSHA, etc. When that happens, the $$ I pay to Social Security and Income Tax stops. Company wins, country and employee lose.
