As a person that doesn't have a billion dollar bankroll and 25 years in the business, I can say that I have benefited from the computer science world over my working life but am now left in a lurch because of offshore outsourcing. I have no future.

How can I possibly compete with someone that makes nothing per hour for a comparable job in America? AND, I am older. Washed up in corporate terms, I guess, but better than ever as far as wisdom and knowledge.

Its sickening to me that companies are so deceptive about their intentions. Say it. Basically, the USA is too expensive when it comes to salaries but its the right place to be if you need a good location, location, location.

I hope that people that are interested in computer science will go one step further into other fields that use computers but are unlikely to be outsourced. Computer maintenance and support are overcrowded fields that offer little opportunity.

Bill Gates, how about investing in the USA? There are lots of good people here too.
