Pretty common fare
Some of our kids friends' are looking, either because they've lost their jobs or they see little potential where they are. Resumes have been passed to me and I'm forwarding them principally to system integrators (not EDS!). The feedback I get is that the high demand is for what you are listing, plus J2EE which I didn't notice. So even if these folks end up going somewhere other than Big Blue and affiliates, they're likely stood in good stead in today's job market.

It's regretably true that tech is suffering unemployment woes at present, but the malaise isn't across the board; there are areas where the demand is quite strong. (Wonder what happened to those COBOLers who were in such demand for Y2K.)
