Security for XP alone is meaningless
Desktop PC security means securing the millions of PCs, with both licensed and unlicensed Windows copies, that need to be secured.

We see here why MS's "security" commitment has lead us to nothing more than an avalanche of malware--MS "security" is focussed mostly within the narrow sandbox defined by selling product above all else and ignoring most sold products because they are not profit-generating.

Until MS puts the public good before MS self-interest, this is all sans usefulness in terms of containing malware.
