There are better offerings than Suse for the
desktop. PCLinuxOS, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, and
Linspire come to mind. Everything in PCLinuxOS
"works out of the box". No post install
configuration issues and adding or updating
software is a one click operation. Still in
Beta, 0.92, but for the Windows user migrating to
Linux there is the closest thing to a zero
learning curve you are going to get now. And the
best thing is the cost. A little time invested
in downloading the ISO and burning it. If you
have never tried a Linux distribution before,
this one is worth taking a look at.
