Open source stacks are gaining fast. Wake up and smell the coffee.
And there are plenty of people arround to do the integration if companies don't want to do it themseleves. Integration is easier, because you have the code, and, since it is open source, you can't be held hostage.

And, you are wrong, many big enterprises DO want to get into the software business, it is what defines them, or with all the pieces availble, it only makes sense. Take Google for instance, can you imagine them not doing their own software?

It is the smaller companies that are more likely to want ot hire it all out or buy off the shelf solutions. But, even then, there are a lot of computer savy small businesses that can put together their own stacks from open source components. It is NOT that hard, and you can buy support contracts from RedHat, JBoss, MySQL, etc.
